Many people often ask me, “What’s the secret to your confidence—it just seems ever-present?” 😅 Some have credited it to my qualifications, achievements, and so forth. However, the truth is simple and has nothing to do with my qualifications, titles, or accomplishments! I have always been a confident young girl and child.

My confidence stems from an unwavering sense of self-worth, intrinsic value, and a clear understanding of my purpose, identity, and source.✨️

Of note, confidence is trust—trust in someone or something. Hence, self-confidence is the ability to trust in oneself. It is the unwavering belief that, regardless of circumstances, you have what it takes to succeed.

Too often, people tie their confidence to external things—qualifications, titles, material possessions, or the approval of others. But here lies the danger: when these things are taken away, confidence crumbles. The moment we lose that job, that title, or that validation, we also lose the very foundation upon which our confidence stood. This is not true confidence—it is borrowed, conditional, superficial, and fragile.

Real, unshakable confidence does not come from what is outside of us; it comes from within. It is rooted in the deep understanding that I am the one who achieved that success. The certificates, the recognition, the achievements—they were all products of my ability, my resilience, and my belief in myself and in my ability to succeed. And as long as I live, I can achieve again.

This is why trusting in ourselves—rather than in external validations—is the key to unwavering confidence and lasting success. When we build our confidence on our true source, we do not lose it, even in failure. Because failure is not the end; it is simply the pathway to success and proof that we are taking actions and committed to success, while learning and growing, and that we can rise again—against all odds.
