Having briefly shared my experience of grief, which I will explore in greater detail later, I would now like to invite you to join me in channelling your focus and energy towards gratitude and life. We are privileged to be alive today and to embrace the gift of the present moment—a precious treasure to be cherished and valued. We cannot afford to dwell on the past or linger in its shadows.
Yes, you might have lost your loved one(s), your job, or even your health. What is the ideal experience you would like to create today that is healthy and aligns with your purpose—allowing you to experience a sense of inner peace and harmony? Write down your answers and reflect on them, shifting your focus and energy to what you want to create and experience. Remember, you and I are responsible for creating our realities.
I invite you once again to join me as we express gratitude. What do you have to be grateful for today? When you focus on gratitude, you’ll find that you become happier and experience more peace. Your soul aligns with your spirit, bringing harmony within.
Knowing what you know now, would you choose gratitude over grief today? Would you choose gratitude over death? Would you count your blessings rather than your losses?
Write down all the things and people in your life that you are most grateful for, especially those that could never be replaced by money.
Say to yourself:
“I choose to express gratitude today and not make excuses for my life. I choose to embrace life and good health, and not to justify any feelings that are destructive to my well-being. I choose to allow myself to receive and experience the gift of this day—a gift I do not deserve yet have been given. I choose to walk through this day in gratitude, being cheerful and thankful as I step into my future. I am profoundly grateful to be alive today.”
In the spirit of gratitude, I must confess that I am eternally thankful for the unique privilege and honour of serving you. I am grateful for the opportunity to share this moment with you and to recount my journey of living life fully—losing, and yet, gaining. Although I lost my parents, I gained their love—unconditional love and light that remain with me and within me. I am grateful for every second of my life and for the blessing of being alive.
